WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – The Illinois men's tennis squad opened the season on a high note by sweeping a pair of duals on Saturday at the Webster Groves Recreation Center.

IC got the season off on the right foot with a shutout. The Blueboys took the doubles point with victories from
Glenn Conway and
Andrus Dupre at No. 1,
Billy Glynn and
Evan Aleman at No. 2, and
Grayson Dupre and
Ryne Breyer at No. 3.
Singles' action proved to be much of the same as IC swept all six contests.
Tejas Zala was victorious at No. 1, as was Breyer at No. 2.
Grayson Dupre brought home a win at No. 3, along with
Momir Vickovic at No. 4. Aleman (No. 5) and Glynn (No. 6) closed out the wins for IC.

The Blueboys concluded the sweep of the day by beating Webster, 5-2, on its home court.
IC earned the doubles point by taking two of the three contests. Conway and
Andrus Dupre were victorious at No. 2, as was the tandem of
Grayson Dupre and Aleman at No. 3.
Singles action saw IC win four of the six matches to earn the victory.
Adi Basic got the win parade started for the Blueboys at No. 3, while Conway followed at No. 4.
Andrus Dupre (No. 5) and Breyer (No. 6) also earned victories for IC.
