BELOIT, Wis.- The Illinois College Blueboys track & field team traveled to compete in the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this weekend. IC finished seventh with a final team score of 57.
The Blueboys were highlighted by a conference record breaking performance in the triple jump by
Will Ross. Ross recorded a mark of 49-1.0 (14.96 meters) which broke the previous MWC record in the event held by Chuck Meyer from Coe College in 1982 (14.89 meters).
Other All-Conference performers included
Gavin Raines in the high jump (6-5.0, 1.96 meters), and
Jackson Lee in the 110 meter hurdles (16.88).
IC track & field will look ahead to compete in the North Central College Gregory Invite on Wednesday, 5/18 and Thursday, 5/19.
