JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College track & field teams will have the weekend off after it was announced by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Thursday that Friday evening's Rose-Hulman Twilight was going to be canceled due to weather in the Terre Haute, Ind. area.
A similar situation arose last year due to a canceled meet and Illinois College ultimately added a midweek meet with other local colleges to make up for the lost meet. Though no date is set in stone at this point, it would seem likely that something will yet be added to the IC schedule prior to the Midwest Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 10-11.
For now, the next track & field meet for Illinois College is its lone outdoor season home event. The Blueboys and Lady Blues host the True Blue Open on April 27 starting at 10:30 a.m.
