GRINNELL, Iowa – The Illinois College softball team had five players named to the All-Midwest Conference postseason honors teams, the league announced.
Jordan Closs heads the list of honorees. The senior from Niantic, Ill., was named the league's Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-Conference for the second consecutive season. Closs is 15-4 with a 1.67 ERA. She has 102 strikeouts in 125 2/3 innings.
Closs was joined on the first team by centerfielder
Ezzy Mauermann, utility player
Gabby Miller, and at-large recipient
Cambria Currie.Â
Mauermann leads the team with a .408 average and eight home runs. She has also driven home 28. Miller is batting .350 and leads the team with 29 stolen bases. Currie is second on the team, batting .397, and has 12 RBI. In the circle, she is 9-4 with a 2.29 ERA and owns 58 strikeouts.
IC's lone representative on the second team was junior infielder
Maddie Adams, who is batting. 367 with a team-best nine doubles. She also has 15 stolen bases.
The Lady Blues won both the Midwest Conference regular season and tournament titles and will play in the 2026 NCAA Division III Tournament next weekend.Â
