IC Esports Closes Season at Nationals

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Illinois College Esports closed its season with two national postseason matches in Valorant and Overwatch. IC fell in both contests against strong competition, bringing its 2025-26 campaign to an end.

In the NECC Valorant Quarterfinals, IC lost 2-0 to New England College. The team dropped Lotus 13-6 before falling 13-7 on Bind. Dwight Duijneveld highlighted the match with an ace on Bind in his final appearance with the program.

IC also dropped a 3-0 decision to the New England Institute of Technology in Overwatch Nationals Round 1. After a 2-0 loss on Lijiang Tower, IC pushed both Watchpoint Gibraltar and Midtown to 3-2 results but could not secure a win.
