JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Illinois College took 3rd place in the NECC bracket with a 3-2 series win over Baker College on Friday in a back-and-forth five-map battle filled with record-breaking performances.
Baker opened strong on Lijiang Tower (2-0), but Illinois responded with a 2-1 win on Midtown to even the series. ICÂ then edged Watchpoint: Gibraltar 3-2 on Baker's map pick to take the lead, before Baker forced a deciding map with a 3-2 win on Aatlis. Illinois closed the series on Esperança with a controlled 2-1 victory.
The match featured standout individual stats, highlighted by Fray Moulton's record-setting 143 eliminations and Bunni Little's program-best 125 assists. Dwight Duijneveld and Carter Naeve also delivered strong damage output to help secure the win.
