Mills Earns Second Midwest Conference Player of the Week Honor

GRINNELL, Iowa – Ketch Mills has been named the Midwest Conference Baseball Positional Player of the Week, the league announced today.

The weekly honor marks the second Midwest Conference Player of the Week recognition this month for Mills.

Mills, a sophomore from Hillsboro, Illinois, earns the honor after a dominant four-game stretch at the plate for Illinois College.

He finished the week 10-for-18 (.556) while driving in 15 RBIs and scoring 10 runs. Mills also tallied six extra-base hits, including three home runs and three doubles, consistently powering the Blueboys offense.

His top performance came against Illinois Wesleyan, where he went 4-for-6 with six RBIs, three runs scored, two home runs, and a double in a standout showing.

On Saturday, Mills etched his name into the Illinois College record books, recording his 55th RBI of the season to set a new single-season program record. He closed out the weekend with 63 RBIs and counting, continuing his historic pace at the plate.

The Blueboys will close out the regular season this weekend as they travel to Grinnell, Iowa for a three-game series beginning Friday at 3:00 p.m.
