COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's golf team opened play at the SLIAC Conference Championships on Sunday at Far Oaks Golf Course, posting a team score of 300 (+12) in the first round. The Blueboys currently sit in a tie for fourth place, 10 shots back of Grinnell College, who leads the field.
Illinois College was led by Emmitt Brokaw, who turned in an impressive 73 (+1). Brokaw highlighted his round with a great back nine score of 34 (-2) and finished with five birdies on the day.
Isaac Anderson followed with a strong 74 (+2), recording four birdies, while Myles Kampwerth added a 76 (+4). Teddy Walbaum carded a 77 (+5) to round out the team scoring. AJ Odle finished with an 87 (+15).
