DECATUR, Ill. – The Illinois College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Butts Classic, hosted by Millikin University, on Tuesday at the Country Club of Decatur, finishing in 12th place overall.
The Blueboys opened the tournament with rounds of 304 and 308 on Monday and closed with a 315 in Tuesday's final round to finish at +63 for the event.
Illinois College was led by Teddy Walbaum, who turned in the team's most consistent performance across the two days with rounds of 76 (+4) and 76 (+4) on Monday before firing a team-best 75 (+3) in the final round. Walbaum's steady play paced the Blueboys and earned him the top finish on the team.
Myles Kampwerth followed closely behind after leading the team through 36 holes, posting rounds of 75 (+3) and 76 (+4) on day one before adding a 77 (+5) on Tuesday.
AJ Odle recorded rounds of 76 (+4) and 77 (+5) during the opening 36 holes and finished with an 85 (+13) in the final round. Emmitt Brokaw carded a 77 (+5) in the first round and an 84 (+12) in round two before bouncing back with a 78 (+6) to close the tournament. Isaac Anderson posted rounds of 79 (+7) and 79 (+7) on Monday and added an 88 (+16) in the final round.
Competing as individuals, Drake Bartos recorded rounds of 78 (+6) and 87 (+15) before closing with a 79 (+7). Ian Otto finished with rounds of 88 (+16), 93 (+21), and 86 (+14), while Zach Diekemper posted rounds of 88 (+16), 92 (+20), and 93 (+21).

The Blueboys will wrap up the 2025–26 season next weekend at the SLIAC Championships, traveling to Collinsville, Illinois, to compete in a three-day tournament at Fair Oaks Golf Course beginning Sunday, April 26.
