Patterson Named First Team All-Conference

GRINNELL, Iowa - Illinois College women's basketball player Jayln Patterson was named First Team All-Midwest Conference, the league announced today.

Patterson, a senior from Plainfield, Illinois, earns First Team honors after previously being named Second Team All-Conference a season ago. She led IC in scoring this season, averaging 14.5 points per game while shooting .450 from the field. In conference play, Patterson averaged 15.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.

A consistent presence on both ends of the floor, Patterson totaled 172 rebounds, 36 blocks, and 30 steals this season. Her 36 blocks rank among the top single-season totals in program history and highlight her continued defensive impact.

Her 15.5 points per game ranked third in the conference, while she also finished sixth in rebounding, fourth in field goal percentage, and second in blocks.

Patterson closes her career firmly in the Illinois College record book. She finishes ninth all-time with 1,139 career points, eighth all-time with 622 rebounds, and third all-time with 88 career blocks, cementing her legacy as one of the program's top post players.

The Lady Blues finished the season 12-13 overall and closed the year with two straight victories to secure an 8-8 mark in Midwest Conference play.
