GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College men's basketball player
Ty Lenhardt was named first team All-Midwest Conference, the league announced today.
Lenhardt, a native of Waterloo, Ill., leads the team and is fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game. He is also third in the league in free throw percentage (.782), fourth in three-point field goals made per game (2.6), fifth in three-point field goal percentage (.342), and 24th in assists per game (1.7). He also leads the league in minutes played per contest (35.3). Lenhardt was the Conference Player of the Week in December after pouring in a game-high 28 points to help IC post an 86-71 win over Knox.
Lenhart's 2025-26 season will be remembered throughout the IC single-season record book. His 187 three-point field goal attempts are second-most in school history, while his 64 made three-pointers rank fourth. He is tied for eighth with 477 points. His six three-point field goals made against Knox this season are tied for eighth on the school's single-game record list as well.
This is the fourth consecutive season that IC has had a first-team All-MWC selection and the fifth straight year the Blueboys have had a player earn all-conference accolades. IC is the only program in the league to have a current streak of four straight seasons of first-team picks (Lenhardt,
Buzz Ritzel, Jake Mazrimas, and Will Rogers were all honored in that streak).
The Blueboys will open play in the 2025-26 Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday when they face Grinnell in the semifinals at 5:00 p.m. in Grinnell, Iowa.
