JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College men's basketball coach
Steve Schweer has accepted the head coaching position at UW-Oshkosh after spending the past nine seasons leading the Blueboys, it was announced on Friday.

Under Schweer's guidance, IC reached unprecedented heights in the program's storied history, twice reaching the NCAA Tournament, winning a pair of Midwest Conference regular-season titles, and capturing two postseason tournament championships, while qualifying for the MWC postseason tournament in each of the past five years.

"Blueboy basketball's incredible legacy has been enhanced on and off the court under Steve's leadership," IC Director of Athletics Meghan Roman said. "The integrity and success that he created will continue to benefit our program moving forward. While we are sad to see him go, we are excited for Steve and his family as he takes the next step in his coaching career. We are grateful for the leadership Steve has provided in our men's basketball program and for the impact he has made on our student-athletes, colleagues, and the entire Illinois College family."
