JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College esports program delivered a statement night across multiple titles on February 23, earning key victories in MVEC and NECC competition against Wartburg College, Bradley University, and North Park University.

Illinois College secured a 2–0 sweep over Wartburg College in MVEC Super Smash Bros. Ultimate play.

Illinois College controlled the match from start to finish with balanced scoring and disciplined play.
Julian Luaders and Jake Petrovich led the charge, combining for 10 points across the two games. Adam Byrd added an additional point in a key Joker vs. Greninja matchup to round out the scoring effort.

Illinois College earned its first NECC Rocket League win of the season with a 4–2 series victory over previously undefeated Bradley University.

After multiple reschedules, the match was confirmed at the last second, but Illinois College responded with its most complete performance of the season. Entering at 0–3, IC took down a Bradley squad that came in 3–0.
Communication proved to be the difference. The team was louder, more connected, and far more in sync throughout the series. Lucas Barry took over offensively, finishing with eight goals in six games, while Dwight Duijneveld and Loegon Pete provided strong support on both ends of the field.

Despite entering the match 0–3, Illinois College delivered one of its sharpest performances of the season. Fray Moulton did not compete in Game 1, but Jordan Leonardo and Carter Naeve stepped in with strong performances, highlighting the depth of the roster.
Thomas Peña had a breakout performance, finishing with 45 kills and 23 deaths for his best showing of the season. Dwight Duijneveld also delivered a dominant outing, posting 43 kills and a 2.79 KDA.
