ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Illinois College men's golf team bounced back in round two of the Highland Championships on Monday morning, posting a six-over 294 to finish in a tie for seventh place in the season opener.
After a two-under 70 in Sunday's opening round, senior Myles Kampwerth followed up with a solid 73 highlighted by four birdies, finishing in 11th place overall. His two-day total of 143 ranks fourth all-time in program history for a 36-hole score.
While Kampwerth turned in another strong round, Teddy Walbaum carded the team's low score of the day with a one-under 71, highlighted by five birdies and a front-nine 33. Walbaum finished tied for 34th, alongside teammate Emmitt Brokaw, who posted a 73 in round two to finish five-over for the tournament.
Drake Bartos rounded out the scoring for IC, bouncing back from his opening round with a 77 on Monday.
The Blueboys' two-day team score of 593 marks the third-lowest 36-hole total in program history, giving them a strong start to the 2025–26 season.
