LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Illinois College softball team landed two players on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region 9 Team, it was announced by the organization today.

Jordan Closs was named first-team All-Region while
Taylor Henry was third-team.
Closs, a junior from Niantic, Ill., was also named the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and first-team All-Conference last week.
The transfer from St. Francis College finished the season 13-4 with a 1.78 ERA. She had 152 strikeouts in 129 2/3 innings of work and tossed the first two perfect games in school history. She also authored a scoreless innings streak of 55 2/3, the eighth-longest in NCAA Division III history and the longest in the division since 2011. In conference play, Closs was a perfect 8-0 with a 0.28 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 50 innings.
Henry, a junior from Sidney, Ill., was also a first-team All-Midwest Conference selection last week after batting .383 with nine doubles and 23 RBI on the season. She also won four games in the circle and recorded 28 strikeouts.
