GRINNELL, Iowa –
Cooper Meyer and
Scottie Nicotra posted the highest finishes for the Illinois College men's swimming and diving team on Saturday at the Russell K. Osgood Pool and Deck/Natatorium.
Nicotra got IC's day started with a third-place finish in the 400 IM, clocking a 4:13.97. IC's
Nathen Trachta was 11th (4:26.08) and
Xaiver Applegate 14th (4:54.42).
Meyer finished third in the 1-meter diving, posting a score of 293. Meyer also finished 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.83.
The Blueboys'
John Masiliunas was 11th in the 100-yard backstroke posting a time of 54.42 while
Cade Emerick took 14th in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.45.
IC's 200-yard medley relay team of Masiliunas, Meyer,
Eli Eberle, and Trachta took fifth in 1:39.41.
With one day of competition remaining, the Blueboys are currently in 4th place in the team standings, a half-point ahead of Lawrence.
