Illinois College Falls to Miami in MEC SSBU, 3-0

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- Illinois College suffered a tough 3-0 loss against Miami in their latest MEC SSBU match.

Theo Biela (Incineroar) started against LJ (Wario) but fell 1-3, putting IC behind early. Daniel Scott (Jigglypuff) evened the score by taking LJ's last stock but was quickly eliminated by mindles_man (Bowser Jr.), extending Miami's lead to 6-3. Devin (Dark Pit) was unable to take a stock, widening the gap to 9-3.

Julian Luaders (Mewtwo) put up a strong fight but lost 2-3 to mindles_man, bringing the score to 12-5. Jake Petrovich (Marth) then dominated, taking four stocks in a row, including a three-stock sweep of mil's Roy, cutting the deficit to 13-12. However, Miami's Phirbs (Ice Climbers) closed out the match, ending IC's comeback attempt.
