JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College Rocket League team earned a 4–0 sweep over the University of Illinois in NECC action on Wednesday evening.
The Blueboys came out firing in Game 1, shutting out the Illini in a dominant 7–0 performance. Illinois responded with adjustments, making Games 2 and 4 tight battles, but IC held firm to claim 3–2 and 2–1 victories. Game 3 saw the Blueboys regain control with a 6–2 win to set up the series sweep.
Illinois College's trio produced a balanced effort in the win. Lucas Barry led the team with eight goals, while also tallying two assists and four saves. Dwight Duijneveld added five goals and six assists, and Glenn Conway anchored the defense with nine saves while contributing five goals and four assists.
