Esports Opens 2025 Spring Season with Competitive Match Against Gustavus Adolphus

JACKSONVILLE, ILL- The Illinois College Esports team kicked off their spring season Tuesday night in MVEC Valorant, facing Gustavus Adolphus College but ultimately lost the match 2-0.

In the first game of the night, IC competed on the map "Haven" but fell short with a score of 13-8. They faced a similar outcome in the second game on the map "Fracture," losing again 13-8.

 A strong performance for IC to open up the 2025 season, as they continue to focus on seeding for the end of season tournament due to all teams making the playoffs.
