JACKSONVILLE, Ill- The Illinois College Esports team faced two UCL playoff matches on Thursday in Valorant and Overwatch 2. Entering the evening, the Overwatch team was in a win or go home lower bracket match against Glenville State, ultimately falling 3-1. This loss concluded the UCL season for Illinois College, securing them a third-place finish for the fall season. Following the Overwatch defeat, Illinois College returned to compete in the upper bracket Valorant match against Pratt Community College but fell short with a 2-0 loss.

This was a strong outcome for IC, as it marked the first time they took a game from one of the top two teams in the conference. The Overwatch team had been working hard on their attack on King's Row which showed with an impressive attack win, finishing with 4:40 left on the timer.
Dwight Duijneveld led the attack for IC with 52 eliminations, while both JC Izaquiree-Gomez and Noah Horsman ended with a 4.0 KDA or higher. Bunnit Little added 46 assists for IC and Matt Hallanger added 38 eliminations.
