JACKSONVILLE, Ill- The Illinois College E-Sports team dropped the opening round of the MEC (UCL) Overwatch 2 playoff series to Glenville State on Monday. IC went into the playoffs with a 4-4 record and ranked as the #3 seed for the tournament. IC dropped the two matches prior against Glenville State during the regular season as well.
This loss sends IC to the Losers' Round in this double-elimination tournament, where they'll need to win three consecutive matches to reach the championship.

Matthew Hallanger led IC in the match with 30 eliminations and 15 assists and a 1.67 KDA.
Noah Horsman played very well for Illinois College ending with a 2.19 KDA and dealing 27,402 damage to Glenville State. The healers for the match,
Bunni Little and
Jose Izaguirre-Gomez, ended with 46,463 healing in support for IC.
Lucas Schultz also added 11 eliminations and 20 assists for IC in the opening match in the playoffs.
