JACKSONVILLE, Ill- The Illinois College E-Sports team began postseason play for the MEC Rocket League Championship on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over Glenville State. IC went into the postseason tournament as the #2 seed after a 4-2 regular season.

Going into the match on Tuesday, IC had outscored Glenville State on the season 6-0, and the dominance continued with the 3-1 win.
Glenn Conway was the leading scorer for IC with five goals in the match. Along with the leading five goals, Conway added eight saves and three assists.
Dwight Duijneveld and
Kieran Powers also got in the action, as Duijneveld ended with three goals and three assists and Powers added two goals as well.
The playoffs consist of four teams in a double elimination tournament. IC will take on the winner between Mount Saint Mary's University and Bridgewater College on Tuesday, October 29th at 7:30pm. If IC wins that match, they will play in the finals, but if IC drops the match they will move to the losers bracket for another match to get back to the finals. IC's only two losses this season came against Mount Saint Mary's, and now they await to see who their opponent will be for Tuesday's match.
