MONMOUTH, Ill- The Illinois College women's volleyball team dropped a four-set match against Monmouth College on Friday evening. This loss drops IC to 11-11 overall on the season and 2-1 in conference play and moves Monmouth to 13-8 on the year and a perfect 3-0 in conference play thus far.

The Lady Blues lost the opening set 25-22 but came back to even the match in the second set by taking set two 25-15. IC would drop the next two sets 25-19 to the Scots.
Ligaya Garibay led IC in the kills category with 13, but the Lady Blues were held to a .120 hitting percentage with 26 hitting errors. Despite taking the match 3-1 over IC, Monmouth ended the match hitting .151 with 22 errors as well, but the Lady Blues ended with a total of 49 errors on the night.
Summer Brandis kept it going as the main passer for IC and ended the match with 22 assists out of the team's 40.
The Lady Blues ended with 68 digs on the night including
Alex Johnson with 19 and
Riley Drake with 13 as well.
Laura Kaiser followed up her Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week performance with a stellar defensive performance, ending the match with five solo blocks to lead IC.
