JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College esports team went into the first game with their heads held high this Thursday. The team suffered a loss with a final score of 0-2.
Game 1 opened with an early lead with Kevin "SageWabe" Tran on Caitlyn, and Tristan "Loneforce" Fissette on Karma. However, poor mid-game fights led Team Ambition Ragnarök to get a head start in the best of 3 set.
IC got another chance in Game 2 with a better-composed draft featuring Peter "255" Foreman on Swain, Isaiah "Frxg" Johnson on Bel'Veth, and Chase "Chxser" Brown on Ornn. Ambition Ragnarök took the lead in the early game and was able to carry that momentum to finish out the set.
IC esports looks towards their next chance for a win next Thursday, 9/29 against Simon Frasier University at 7:00 PM.
