IC Volleyball Battles in Tough Match Against Franklin College

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues started their 2022 season against Franklin College on Friday night. The team suffered a loss to the Grizzlies 0-3 after some very close sets 24-26, 19-25, 25-27.

 IC relied on strong play from Molly Jo Welgat and Laura Kaiser each totaling eight kills in the match. Morgan Burr and Brandis Summer each recorded 13 assists to lead the Lady Blues. Defensively, Jen Humbolt led the team with 13 digs followed by Alex Johnson with 12 digs.

The Lady Blues will return to action tomorrow to face Anderson University at 10:30 AM and Westminster College at 2:30 PM.
