JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College esports team took on UC San Diego in the second game of their summer schedule this Thursday. The team suffered a loss with a final of 0-2.
Game 1 opened with a big lead for IC. The team was led by Drake Farster on Hecarim and Justin White on Karma, but UC San Diego was able to turn it around after a key dragon fight to claim the victory in the first round of the match.
IC saw another opening in the second game with a triple kill by Drake Farster on his Olaf. An overstay by IC before their 4th dragon led to a few key picks from UC San Diego ultimately leading to UC San Diego earning the win.
IC faces off against Cafe 3 Crossroads, an amateur team with 2 former Challenger players, in their next contest on Thursday, 6/23 at 7:00 PM.
