JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's golf team hosted the Blueboys Invite this weekend at the Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Illinois. The team came away with a sixth place finish and a team score of 614.
The Blueboys were led by
Jarrett James placing tied for 16th with a final score of 149 after two rounds.
Louis Faivre and
Tre Wahlig both followed tying for 33rd with a final score of 157. Rounding out the Blueboys top team was
Samuel Frericks placing tied for 43rd (159) and
Dane Huber placing tied for 46th (160).Â
IC's second team placed seventh in the tournament with a team score of 620.
Cole Bartels led the way with a tie for 19th place and a score of 151.
Peter Hauser and
Tobin Nell followed tying for 28th with final scores of 156. Other significant finishers for the second team included
Tanner Romine placing tied for 33rd (157) and
Andrew McKillip placing tied for 73rd (168).
The team will look ahead to compete at Lewis & Clark Community College on Monday, 4/18 at 9:00 AM.Â
