ST. LOUIS, Mo.- The Illinois College Lady Blues competed in the second day of the Wash U Invitational on Saturday. IC faced some tough competition falling to #6 Wash U 0-3 and Illinois Wesleyan University 0-3. IC now stands at 7-14 overall this season.
GAME 1- Illinois College 0, #6 Washington University in St. Louis 3
The Lady Blues played hard against #6 ranked Wash U in a competitive match.
Paige Knuffman led the team with eight kills and
Jen Humbolt was the standout on defense with 15 digs.
Summer Brandis was able to set her teammates up for success leading the team with 16 assists in the match.
GAME 2- Illinois College 0, Illinois Wesleyan University 3
The second match of the day featured another opponent receiving votes in the top 25 poll in Illinois Wesleyan.
Maya Stovall led the team with seven kills in the match. Humbolt was the defensive leader once again recording 21 digs.
Brandis was the team's assist leader recording 13 assists in the second match of the day.
The Lady Blues will return to MWC play traveling to take on Monmouth College on Wednesday, 10/12 at 7:00 PM.
