JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues hosted Blackburn College on Thursday night. The team earned a sweep defeating the Beavers in three sets 25-15, 25-18, 25-23. This improves the Lady Blues to 11-16 overall.
IC was led by
Alyssa Burglund with 11 kills in the match.
Summer Brandis (16) and
Morgan Burr (13) were able to finish with double figures in assists. Defensivley,
Jen Humbolt was the teams leader with 15 digs.
Riley Brandenburg had an impressive day at the net totaling three blocks on the night.
After securing the first two sets, IC found themselves in a competitive battle tied 21-21 against the Beavers. IC would rattle off four consecutive points winning the match on a kill by Burglund.
The team will host Knox College at 11:00 AM for Senior Day and Greenville University at 3:00 PM on Saturday, 10/29.
