JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- In a dominating performance from Illinois College Esports, lead by Timothy Blackwell, the Blueboys defeated Minnesota State University in a solid 2-0 series. With the games lasting around the 25 minute mark, IC seemed poised to take the beginning of the season by storm.
Tristan Fissette stood out as a dominant figure, being able to create plays across the map on Leona in game 2 and helping to create a larger lead for
Christian Varacalli and the rest of his team from the support position.
The team played a surgical game 2 in this series, denying the enemy team almost any objectives on the map and bringing the game to a close with a triple kill from
Ethan Elmore in the final moments to seal the series.
David Thompson didn't give Minnesota State any room to breathe with unorthodox pick, Singed. IC Esports starts their 2nd set of games next week to be scheduled when CSL posts the 2nd week of matches.
The twitter feed for Esports will have information as soon as it is available for scheduling purposes.
