DECATUR, Ill.- The Illinois College women's volleyball team competed in the second day of the Millikin University Invitational on Saturday. The team suffered a loss to Webster after five sets 2-3, and a loss to Millikin University 0-3.
Game 1- Illinois College 2, Webster University 3
The Lady Blues found themselves in a highly contested match against the Gorloks for the second time this season. The team fell short in a five set battle 25-14, 20-25, 25-22, 23-25, 9-15.
Abbie Horstmann led the team with 15 kills in the match and only two errors to total a hitting percentage of .433.
Reagan Gifford (12) and
Brenna Dameris (11) were both also able to reach double figures in kills.
Morgan Burr led the way in assists with 37, and also led the team with 15 digs.
Logyn Little also recorded 15 digs.
Game 2- Illinois College 0, Millikin University 3
IC faced Millikin in their second match of the day. The Lady Blues suffered a loss to the Big Blue after three sets 13-25, 11-25, 18-25.
Horstmann led the team with five kills in the contest followed by
Sam Sabo with four kills. Burr led the team with 12 assists and nine digs.
The Lady Blues begin MWC play on the road Friday, 9/24 at Beloit College at 7:00 PM.
