DECATUR, Ill.- The Lady Blues volleyball team suffered two losses on the first day of the Millikin Invitational Friday night. This puts the Lady Blues at 4-4 overall this season.
Game 1- Illinois College 2, Marian University 3
The Lady Blues would suffer a loss to Marian University in a highly contested contest after five sets 20-25, 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 9-15.
Abbie Horstmann led the team with 16 kills and only two errors to record a hitting percentage of .519.
Morgan Burr led the team in assists with 35.
Logyn Little was able to make an impact on defense with 29 digs.
Game2- Illinois College 0, DePauw University 3
IC fell in the second game of the day against the DePauw Tigers 18-25, 19-25, 18-25.
Brenna Dameris led the team with 10 kills in the match. Burr was the assist leader with 26, and Little led IC's defense once again with 15 digs.
The Lady Blues will continue the Millikin Invitational tomorrow facing Webster University at 4:00 PM and Millikin University at 6:00 PM.
