GALENA, Ill.- The Illinois College Blueboys golf team traveled to compete in the Midwest Region Classic hosted by Benedictine University over the weekend. The team was able to finish tied for fourth out of 24 teams with a total team score of 629 after two rounds.
Tre Wahlig led the Blueboys finishing the weekend shooting 75 and 75 for a total score of 150. Wahlig stood tied for fourth individually until falling in the playoff round to earn a fifth place finish overall in the tournament.
Tanner Romine (156),
Jarrett James (160), Sam Frericks (163), and
Louis Faivre (177) rounded out the competitors for IC.
Cole Barels (165) and
Dane Huber (169) competed as individuals in the contest as well.
The Blueboys will host Blackburn College at The Links Golf Course on Wednesday, 9/22 at 11:00 AM.
