JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's and women's track and field teams hosted the IC True Blue Invitational on Saturday. The meet featured many Midwest Conference competitors from Cornell, Monmouth, Knox, and Grinnell.
On the women's side, the Lady Blues would earn seven event wins with seven second place finishes.
Andrea Hyde would earn first place in the 100-meter dash (12.00) and second in the 200-meter dash (24.78).
Zoey Lewis would earn first in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 21:58.21.Â
Other event winners included
Kristina Hilmes in the 100-meter hurdles (16.44);
Olivia Molette in the long jump (5.62-meters, 18' 5.25");
Carson Beyers in the javelin (29.10-meters, 95' 6"); the 4x100-meter relay team of
Kayla Hearon,
Lakeida Nichols, Molette, and Hyde (48.19); and the 4x400-meter relay team of Hilmes,
Emily Woods, Olivia Frictl, and Brianna Wallace (4:24.00).
On the men's side IC would earn four event wins with five second place finishes.
Jack Douglas was able to place first in the 100-meter dash (10.83) and second in the 200-meter dash (22.15).Â
Other first place finishers included
Devin Boggs in the 10,000-meter run (37:30.94);
Tom Rexing in the 110-meter hurdles (16.66); and the 4x400-meter relay team of
Jacob Fedderke,
Elgin Scherff,
Collin White, and
Gavin Raines (3:32.13).
At the conclusion of the meet the team took the time to recognize their senior athletes.

Andrea Hyde were all congratulated on their careers and honored by their teammates and coaches.Â
Both the Blueboys and Lady Blues will now look ahead to compete in the Midwest Conference Meet on Friday, 5/14 and Saturday, 5/15.
