JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues picked up a win against the Knox College Prairie Fire on Saturday with a final of 25-19, 25-17, 25-22.
Before today's contest, the Lady Blues took the time to honor their senior
Madison Klanke. She was escorted onto the court by her teammates and received recognition from her coach and her team.
Klanke,
Sam Sabo, and
Brenna Dameris led the team in kills each totaling nine in the contest.
Morgan Burr led the team in assists with 27.
Jen Humbolt was able to put together a defensive front for the Lady Blues leading the team in digs with 15.
Illinois College would start off strong to take control in the first set.
Logyn Little would end the set on a service ace to give the Lady Blues the win 25-19.
IC continued to control the match in the second set after a kill by Klanke would give them the win and put the team up 2-0.
The Lady Blues would seal the victory in the third set after another service ace by Little to defeat Knox College and improve to 4-4 overall on the season.
The Lady Blues will look ahead to host Millikin University in their attack cancer game on Thursday, 4/1 at 7:30 PM.
