JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Esports team has advanced to the Midwest Esports Conference postseason. Throughout the regular season the teams have competed to earn a spot in the top four to advance to the MEC playoffs. 

MEC Playoffs Round One: Saturday, 3/20 at 6:30 PM, Illinois College vs. University of Missouri

News and Notes:
* Illinois College received their highest seed ever as the two seed in the tournament. 
* Grand View University is the one seed, The University of Missouri is the three seed, and Drury University is the four seed. 
* The winner of the MEC Championship will advance to the Esports national competition.
* This is Illinois College's first playoff appearance after last year being canceled due to complications with COVID-19. 
* Illinois College Esports has never competed in the national tournament.

Players Notes:
* Dalton Swaino Lead the conference with 57 kills followed by Tony Bautista-Foti ranking second with 50 kills.
* Sean Corley led the league with 98 assists and Christian Varacalli ranked third with 79 assists. 
* Corley finished with the second most wards in the league at 307.
* Swaino ranked second at 396 gold per minute.
* Illinois College recorded the second highest team wide kda at 3.3.
