JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Illinois College Esports finished as NECC Rocket League runners-up after a 3–4 loss to Carroll University on December 3. The Blueboys opened the series well, taking Game 1 (4–2) and Game 2 (2–1). After a setback in Game 3, IC responded with a 2–0 win in Game 4 to regain control of the match.
Carroll shifted momentum late, taking Games 5 and 6 to force a deciding Game 7. The final game went to an extended overtime lasting nearly six minutes, with both teams producing key saves and scoring chances. Carroll eventually scored the deciding goal, securing the championship.
