JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's and women's track and field programs started their seasons today against the Greenville University Panthers. The Lady Blues were able to earn a victory with a final team score of 67-38. The Blueboys finished behind the Greenville Panthers with a final of 75-54.
The Lady Blues were able to earn eight first place finishes in today's meet. Multiple event winners included
Olivia Molette in the long jump (16' 9.75") and 200-meter dash (28.24);
Renee Hartman in the weight throw (42' 8") and shot put (36' 11.75"); and
Kristina Hilmes in the 60-meter hurdles (10.63) and 400-meter dash (1:06.51).
Other event winners for the women included
Paige Nowak in the pole vault (8' 8.25") and
Kayla Hearon in the 60-meter dash (8.55).
The Blueboys were able to earn three first place finishes including
Andrew Phillips in the pole vault (11' 2.25");
Dalton West in the weight throw (43' 5.75"); and
Dakota Stevens in the 60-meter hurdles (9.37).
Both teams will compete next at home on Saturday, 2/20 at 10:00 AM.
