JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues hosted Greenville University in their annual Cancer Awareness Game. The team suffered a loss to the Panthers after three sets 24-26, 23-25, 23-25. This drops the Lady Blues to 11-12 overall and 6-2 in the MWC.
The team took the time to auction off a couple of Lady Blues Cancer Awareness items including a volleyball and a pink jersey. The proceeds from the silent auction were donated to the Morgan County hospitals to help assist cancer patients during their treatment.
The team found themselves in an extremely competitive match against the Panthers.
Brenna Dameris led the team with nine kills followed by
Abbie Horstmann with eight.
Jen Humbolt led the team with 22 digs.
Reagan Gifford also totaled double digits in digs with 12 in the contest.
IC will travel to compete in the Central College Invitational this Saturday, 10/30 at 11:00 AM against North Park University and 2:00 PM against Nebraska Wesleyan University.
