JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Lady Blues picked up a win at home over the Lawrence University Vikings after three sets 25-11, 25-17, 25-23. This advances the Lady Blues to 11-11 overall and 6-2 in the MWC.
The volleyball team took the time before the match to recognize their eight seniors
Logyn Little,
Reagan Gifford,
Abbie Horstmann,
Mikaela Kalaskie,
Faith Stallard,
Sam Sabo,
Alyssa Huffman, and
Brenna Dameris. The ladies were greeted by their families and honored for all of their accomplishments and dedication to the volleyball program.
IC was led offensively by Stallard recording seven kills in the contest. Horstmann also had an impressive match with six kills on 11 attempts to total a hitting percentage of .545. Three players were able to reach double figures in digs for the Lady Blues including Little (14),
Jen Humbolt (12), and Huffman (11).
Illinois College will look ahead to host Greenville University on Monday, 10/25 at 7:00 PM for their Cancer Awareness Game.
