3/19/2020 6:00:00 PM

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Justin Bragg has been named the new Head Esports Coach at Purdue University-Northwest. Bragg has led the esports program here on the Hilltop since play began in the 2018-19 school year.

"I would like to thank Justin for his leadership as we built the Illinois College Esports program to one of the top programs in the region," said Director of Athletics Mike Snyder. "Justin has been a strong member of our department and he will be missed. I want to wish him the best on the next stage in his career."

Bragg is a native of the Chicagoland area and PNW will move him close to home in Hammond, Ind. The Pride announced esports as their latest varsity offering last month and will begin competition in the Fall of 2020.

"I will be forever thankful to Illinois College and Mike Snyder for giving me the opportunity to build and coach the esports program," Bragg said. Over the last three years, I have gotten to work with many young men who have been hard working, dedicated and committed to putting IC esports on the map in the Midwest. I appreciate all of the hard work they have put into the program and I look forward to seeing all of their success in the future."

With the final match of the regular season canceled, along with playoffs that were scheduled for this weekend, Illinois College esports ends its season with a record of 9-2.
