Box Score 2 The Illinois College softball team was swept in a doubleheader by Millikin University on Wednesday in Decatur. Millikin won by scores of 7-2 and 10-2.
Sierra McDonald was 3-for-3 with a triple and a run scored in the opener.
Emily Hawkins added a pair of hits.
Alese Speckhart suffered the pitching loss after allowing seven runs (four earned) over seven innings.
Brittney Fanella had two hits in the nightcap for the Lady Blues.
Leah Shumaker suffered the pitching loss after allowing five runs over the first 1 1/3 innings.
Amanda Price allowed five runs over 4 1/3 innings of relief work.
The Lady Blues fell to 8-12 overall. They will play five games against opponents from the Midwest Conference's North Division this weekend at the MWC Classic in East Peoria.
