Box Score 2 The Illinois College baseball team split a doubleheader with Monmouth College on Saturday in Monmouth, in both teams' first Midwest Conference South Division games of the season. The Blueboys posted a 10-0 win in the opener, but suffered a 13-6 loss in the nightcap.
Josh Krumwiede collected a pair of hits, scored two runs and drove in another in the opener.
Matthew Pardo drove in three runs.
Dalton Kerans had three stolen bases.
T.J. Albers earned the shutout win, scattering four hits over seven innings, while striking out two.
Nick Dalfonso had four hits in the nightcap. Krumwiede and
Austin Peck drove in two runs each.
Nick Visconti suffered the loss after allowing seven runs over 7 1/3 innings, while striking out seven.

Andy McCarty and
Clayton Carr finished out the game on the mound.
The Blueboys are now 12-7 overall and 1-1 in Midwest Conference South Division play. The Blueboys played Saturday's games as the home team, as the games were moved from Springfield's Eisenhower Park to Monmouth, due to inclement weather. The Blueboys will play another doubleheader at Monmouth on Sunday.
