Box Score 2 The Illinois College softball team was swept in a doubleheader by Knox College on Saturday in Galesburg, in the team's final games of the 2014 season. Knox won by scores of 4-3 and 10-7.
Paige Cullison and
Sierra McDonald had two hits apiece in the opener.
Courtney Kwasnitza drove in a run.
Alese Speckhart took the loss after allowing four runs over seven innings.
Paige Meyer,
Kinzie Verhines, Kwasnitza and Speckhart had two hits each in the nightcap. Meyer and Verhines drove in two runs each.
Amanda Price allowed seven runs over 1 2/3 innings in taking the loss.
Leah Shumaker allowed three runs over the final 4 1/3 innings.
The Lady Blues finished the season at 12-20 overall and 3-7 in Midwest Conference South Division play.
