Box Score 2 The Illinois College softball team topped St. Norbert College in extra innings, 8-6, but lost to Ripon College, 5-4, on Friday at the Midwest Conference Classic in East Peoria.
Courtney Kwasnitza homered in the win over St. Norbert, while
Alese Speckhart collected three hits and earned the pitching win.
Paige Meyer and
Emily Hawkins had two hits apiece.
Meyer had two hits, two runs and two runs driven in against Ripon. Speckhart and Kwasnitza had two hits each.
Amanda Price suffered the pitching loss.
The Lady Blues are now 9-13. Play at the Midwest Conference Classic continues Saturday.
