Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

The Illinois College baseball team was swept in a doubleheader by Cornell College on Saturday, just 24 hours after the Blueboys swept the Rams in a doubleheader in Jacksonville. IC lost Saturday's games by scores of 7-5 and 4-0.

T.J. Albers' three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth keyed a rally that fell just short for IC in the opener. Brett Leischner had an RBI double. Nick Dalfonso scored two runs. Nate Jones suffered the pitching loss after allowing five runs (four earned) over six innings. Zack Hanlon gave up two runs in relief before Nick Kennedy pitched 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to finish off the game for the Blueboys.

Ian Richardson pitched six solid innings in the second game but got little support from the Blueboy bats, which were limited to three hits. Richardson allowed three runs (only one earned) over six innings. Nick Duke allowed one run over the final two innings.

The Blueboys fell to 13-15 overall and 7-5 in Midwest Conference play with the losses.
