The Illinois College baseball team lost to Ohio Northern, 3-1, Tuesday afternoon at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Ohio Northern tallied one run in the top of the third inning before adding two insurance runs in the top of the ninth. The Blueboys scratched out one run in the bottom of the ninth to bring the game to its final score.

Adam Hamerlinck and Josh Krumwiede tallied IC's four hits. Spencer Wilson drove in Heinemann on a sacrifice fly in the ninth.
Nick Duke took the pitching loss for the Blueboys, his first of the year. Duke pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits. He walked four and struck out six. Zack Hanlon allowed one run over 3 1/3 innings of relief.
Matt Schneider allowed one run before Matthew Pardo finished up the game on the mound.
The Blueboys are now 2-3. They play a doubleheader with Finlandia University on Wednesday.
