Matthew Pardo was 4-for-4 from the plate and the Illinois College baseball team earned an 11-1 win over visiting Principia College at Lenz Field in Jacksonville on Tuesday.
Pardo collected two doubles and a triple, and drove in four runs in the win. Catcher Austin Peck was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored.
Dave Dalfonso tallied two hits, one of which was a double, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base.
Nick Dalfonso had one hit, one run, one RBI and two stolen bases.
T.J. Albers and
Matt Jagodzinski also drove in runs in the Blueboys' win.
Brian Davenport was the winning pitcher after allowing just one unearned run over five innings of work. Davenport walked five and struck out nine.
Ian Richardson worked two scoreless innings of relief before Chris Irvin finished off the game with one scoreless inning. Richardson and Irvin struck out two batters apiece.
Illinois College improved to 4-6 with the win. The Blueboys host Greenville College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
