Dillan Baum completed his second season with the Illinois College volleyball program during the 2025 campaign.

In his second year on the Hilltop, Baum helped guide the Lady Blues through a challenging schedule as Illinois College finished 10–21 overall and 5–4 in Midwest Conference play. The team continued to show growth across the roster, with multiple student-athletes posting career-best performances. Haylie Orton earned Second Team All-Conference recognition following a breakout season.

Baum brings extensive volleyball coaching and playing experience to the Lady Blues. He has spent eight years as a member of the Illini United Volleyball Club coaching staff, working with athletes at multiple levels. In addition to his club experience, Baum served as an assistant coach at Augustana College from 2017–21 and has also coached at the prep level at Warrensburg-Latham and Mt. Zion High Schools.

Outside of coaching, Baum has teaching experience at Dennis Lab Middle School in Decatur, Illinois.

As a student-athlete, Baum was a member of the Augustana men’s varsity volleyball team from 2017–21. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Graphic Design/Art from Augustana in 2021.
