Wade Lytal enters his fourth year as an assistant football coach at Illinois College. Lytal serves as offensive coordinator, offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator.

Lytal earned his bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in 2009 and his master’s degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. Lytal was a two-time all-conference and all-region selection as a member of Trinity’s football team, helping the school to a 34-5 record and a pair of national tournament appearances during his playing career. Lytal was on the field for what has been called the “Mississippi Miracle,” a memorable play that came at the end of a game against Millsaps College. On the last play of the game, Trinity threw 15 lateral passes and scored a game-winning touchdown as time expired. The play was nominated for an ESPY Award and was named the Pontiac Game Changing Performance of the Year. Lytal served as an assistant coach at Trinity in 2009 and 2010.

Lytal resides in Jacksonville with his German shepherd, Chief.
